The quintessential Old World flavor. Canned Italian tomatoes (only ripened on the vine) simmered with meat as well as our famous home-made meatballs and sausage thereby creating a rich smooth and Old World taste of tomato sauce. Sunday Sauce derived its name from the early Italian immigrants who lived on very tight budgets and ate pasta many times during the week with only a basic tomato sauce. On Sunday family and friends always gathered and therefore they added meat to the sauce to enrich it. That is how it became known as Sunday Sauce. This sauce is near and dear to our hearts and a honored family tradition. We cannot think "Sunday Sauce" without a flood of memories of wonderful family meals together. Great with any fresh Made Pasta. A 16oz jar is available with any Pasta Meal selected.
Nonna Approved Ingredients! Tomatoes, Onion, Garlic, Olive Oil, Black Pepper, Salt, Basil Beef, Pork, Parsley. Simmered with our Meatballs and sausage: trace of Parmigiano Cheese, Milk, Fennel Seed, Eggs, Bread......And Love!
Instructions: Refrigerate sauce immediately upon delivery. Because cookware and stove temperatures tend to vary place sauce in pan and heat until hot stirring very often. Approximately 5 to 10 minutes.
